Requirements

  • Strong portfolio showing complex real-time VFX with a preference for "Magical VFX", demonstrating a solid understanding of color, composition and timing. The portfolio should include a variety of styles and types of VFX
  • At least one shipped game on PC/Console, preferably more than just one
  • Advanced knowledge of any DCC package (e.g. Maya, Blender, Houdini)
  • Experience creating custom shaders using node-based tools or scripting (e.g. HLSL)
  • Must be willing to work onsite in the Studio
  • A professional level of written and spoken English

Responsibilities

  • Create Visual Effects for gameplay abilities (spells), creatures, custom scripted events and for environmental decoration using Particle Effects, models and custom shaders
  • Develop the look and feel of VFX classes
  • Collaborate with other departments on the development of game features
  • Occasional contributions to cinematic VFX depending on project demands
