Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing data visualization, analytics dashboards, and complex reporting tools
  • Expert knowledge of information design principles for large-scale data presentation, and the ability to choose the correct chart type for a given dataset and user goal
  • Proven ability to determine UX KPIs for data comprehension (e.g., reduced time to task completion, error reduction) and measure/confirm them post-launch
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, with experience contributing to or owning a UI design system that includes data components
  • Experience in a domain where data interpretation is critical (e.g., Fintech, B2B SaaS, or Healthcare reporting)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design and strategy for data-heavy features, including administrative dashboards, operational reports, and data visualization components (charts, graphs, tables)
  • Translate complex financial and operational data requirements (e.g., HRA spending, enrollment statuses) into clear, concise visual representations that guide user action
  • Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to understand constraints and ensure the viability and accuracy of all reporting designs
  • Develop and maintain the reusable data visualization component library within the Figma design system
  • Determine success metrics (UX KPIs) such as time-to-insight and reduced support requests related to data clarity, and measure them post-launch
  • Create designs that meet accessibility standards, with a specific focus on color contrast and screen reader compatibility for data tables and charts
  • Consistently communicate and review designs with internal stakeholders at scheduled intervals to ensure reporting accuracy
