Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation or CPA preferred)
  • 4–7 years of relevant corporate tax experience in public accounting and/or private industry
  • Strong understanding of U.S. federal and state tax compliance and reporting
  • Working knowledge of ASC 740 income tax accounting principles
  • Proficiency with tax compliance software (e.g., OneSource, Corptax) and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review federal and multi-state income tax returns, extensions, and estimated payments
  • Assist in preparing quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740
  • Support audits by federal and state tax authorities, including research and documentation requests
  • Conduct tax research and provide recommendations on complex tax issues, legislative changes, and planning opportunities
  • Maintain and reconcile tax accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
  • Collaborate with internal finance teams to gather data and analyze book-to-tax differences
  • Identify process improvements and support automation initiatives within the tax function
  • Assist in special projects, including mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions
