Requirements

  • At least 5 years of practical experience as a system or integration engineer, including defining specifications, verification, and the implementation of SW development methodologies
  • Hands-on experience in Networking, K8S, Cloud Computing and Linux
  • Knowledge of wireless communication theory
  • Familiarity with at least one of the cellular standards, i.e., 2G/3G/LTE/LTE-Advanced/5G-NR
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a global multi-site environment
  • Product and customer-oriented, with a high curiosity for Innovative solutions
  • Fluent English
  • B.Sc with a major in communication theory and systems and/or signal processing

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to reviewing the design of new radio cellular features (e.g., rate adaptation, power control, scheduler, interference mitigation), challenge the implemented solutions, and suggest improvements
  • Define a test strategy to evaluate their end-to-end performances and ensure their conformance to Design and to Technology Specifications (Open RAN, 3GPP)
  • Take ownership of features from an early stage of Proof of Concept, then during their SW implementation and release to customers
  • Deliver technical reports and Performance figures based on lab experiments to Product and Customer teams and provide Instructions to Automation teams
  • Handle and debug cellular system issues reported from internal labs or observed in the field by customers
