The Senior/Staff Software Engineer will create principled algorithmic improvements to specific areas of driving behavior and implement those changes in the code base. They will utilize extensive backend tooling to test changes across diverse driving scenarios, lead on-vehicle drive reviews to provide actionable feedback on driving performance, and attend conferences to stay updated on advancements in Robotics and Motion Planning. Additionally, they will write and file patents for novel technologies developed.
