Requirements

The Senior Staff Engineer should possess seasoned technical expertise in one or more technical areas, demonstrating the ability to lead technical efforts and act as a primary technical resource. Candidates must have experience in energy efficiency program engineering, including measure development, savings calculations, and technical training development. A strong understanding of energy policy and state-documented energy savings methodologies, such as those found in Technical Reference Manuals, is required. The role also necessitates experience in supporting proposal development and business development efforts. Candidates must not reside in Delaware, Kentucky, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, or Wyoming.

Responsibilities

The Senior Staff Engineer will lead engineering services for multiple energy efficiency programs and projects, providing cross-cutting engineering leadership in at least one technology area. This includes developing new measures, updating incremental costs and savings documentation, creating technical training, coordinating with clients, and managing technology updates. They will also provide engineering support across departments, supervise engineering staff, and guide junior engineers in best practices. Responsibilities include overseeing engineering support staff, communicating client needs, analyzing energy-efficient technologies within energy policy, leading market studies and technical projects, and contributing to proposal and business development.
