Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on month-end close, forecasting, and transactional accounting
Experience with AP, AR, and general accounting functions
Proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems preferred)
Advanced Excel skills

Responsibilities

Lead the month-end close process, including preparing and posting journal entries
Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
Prepare and assist in generating monthly financial reports for management
Process and manage transactions related to AP
Ensure timely and accurate recording of all transactions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer collections
Reconcile AP subledgers to the general ledger, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper financial documentation
Process and manage transactions related to AR
Ensure timely and accurate recording of all transactions, including customer payments and collections
Reconcile AR subledgers to the general ledger, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper financial documentation
Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial forecasts, focusing on operating expenses and revenue trends
Work with department managers to track financial performance against the budget
Provide insights and recommendations based on spending trends and cost analysis
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner
Support general ledger reconciliations and assist in maintaining the overall accuracy of financial data
Assist in preparing financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
Support internal and external audits by providing reconciliations and documentation
Analyze financial data and provide insights for management to support decision-making
Continuously look for opportunities to improve accounting processes and procedures
Assist in the development of new policies and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency in the accounting function
