Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on month-end close, forecasting, and transactional accounting
  • Experience with AP, AR, and general accounting functions
  • Proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end close process, including preparing and posting journal entries
  • Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare and assist in generating monthly financial reports for management
  • Process and manage transactions related to AP
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of all transactions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer collections
  • Reconcile AP subledgers to the general ledger, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper financial documentation
  • Process and manage transactions related to AR
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of all transactions, including customer payments and collections
  • Reconcile AR subledgers to the general ledger, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper financial documentation
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial forecasts, focusing on operating expenses and revenue trends
  • Work with department managers to track financial performance against the budget
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on spending trends and cost analysis
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner
  • Support general ledger reconciliations and assist in maintaining the overall accuracy of financial data
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports
  • Support internal and external audits by providing reconciliations and documentation
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights for management to support decision-making
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve accounting processes and procedures
  • Assist in the development of new policies and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency in the accounting function
