  • Ability to develop top-to-bottom understanding of product ecosystems, architecture, core features, and system behavior
  • Proficiency in manual regression and functional testing, validating new and existing capabilities
  • Familiarity with SQA toolchains, including automation frameworks, CI/CD workflows, and SDLC processes
  • Proficiency in Jira, TestRail, and internal reporting practices
  • Skills in debugging failing test cases, filing high-quality defect tickets, and collaborating across engineering teams to assess risk and root cause
  • Expertise in testing physical systems across multiple configurations, tablets, sensors, and hardware variants
  • Knowledge of validating new hardware components, microcontroller interactions, and embedded system performance
  • Ability to ensure robust integration across sensors, processors, and peripherals under diverse environmental and operational conditions
  • Experience owning regression, functional, and end-to-end system testing
  • Skills in evaluating product behavior across on-device software, hardware modules, and Portal connectivity
  • Ability to validate new features, enhancements, and integrations for correctness, usability, and performance
  • Capability to shape automation strategy, identify test cases for automation based on risk, regression frequency, and system impact
  • Experience developing or extending automated tests for functional, integration, and simulation-based testing
  • Expertise in validating Wi-Fi and Ethernet communication, analyzing and debugging network issues involving packet loss and interference

Responsibilities

  • Design test plans and validate new features for Evolv’s Express, Expedite, and next-generation products
  • Qualify new hardware, support existing systems in production, and drive quality across physical product lines
  • Execute manual regression and functional testing, validating new and existing capabilities
  • Learn and utilize Evolv’s SQA toolchain, automation frameworks, CI/CD workflows, and SDLC processes
  • Debug failing test cases, file high-quality defect tickets, and collaborate to assess risk and root cause
  • Contribute to the automation roadmap by identifying high-value areas for automated coverage
  • Recommend process or tooling improvements to increase efficiency, coverage, and product quality
  • Lead or support release-readiness testing and deliver clear quality assessments for releases
  • Test physical Evolv systems across multiple configurations, tablets, sensors, and hardware variants
  • Validate new hardware components, microcontroller interactions, and embedded system performance
  • Ensure robust integration across sensors, processors, and peripherals under diverse conditions
  • Own regression, functional, and end-to-end system testing for Express and Expedite
  • Evaluate product behavior across on-device software, hardware modules, and Portal connectivity
  • Shape automation strategy alongside automation engineers and develop/extend automated tests
