A strong candidate has a relevant degree or equivalent experience, hands-on reverse engineering skills with C/C++, Python, and tools like IDA Pro or Ghidra, plus expertise in firmware analysis, emulation, fuzzing, or related areas; preferred experience includes embedded C/C++ development, cryptography, and hardware debugging tools.
