Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
2–4 years of experience in software testing or SDET roles, preferably in the healthcare domain
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and Agile practices
Experience with API testing and tools like Postman, REST Assured
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python)
Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting
Familiarity with healthcare data formats and standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, ICD-10)
Strong analytical and debugging skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA)
Exposure to performance and security testing
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
ISTQB or equivalent certification
Experience working with cloud-based healthcare platforms

Responsibilities

Perform core verification and validation testing of healthcare applications, including EHR/EMR systems, patient portals, and APIs
Review and analyze healthcare-specific requirements and translate them into detailed test plans and test cases
Execute and maintain both manual and automated test suites for functional and non-functional testing
Conduct API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar, ensuring secure and compliant data exchange
Write and review code to support test automation and investigate defects
Participate in code reviews and collaborate with developers to ensure testability and quality
Ensure traceability of test cases to business and regulatory requirements
Document and track defects using tools like JIRA, and work with teams to resolve them
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation frameworks
Stay updated on healthcare compliance standards and ensure testing aligns with them
