Candidates should possess a proven track record designing, implementing, and maintaining Linux and Windows OS Images, along with experience in object-oriented programming languages such as C++ or C#. They should also have familiarity with using kickstart files for system installation and ansible playbooks for configuration, and experience with source control management repositories like GIT or SVN.
The Senior Software Engineer (OS) will work as part of Agile scrum teams to design, implement, and test the instrument operating system (OS) and control software, gathering requirements, creating, verifying, and releasing OS images for computers in instruments and appliance products. This role involves troubleshooting issues with OS images and hardware, providing support for both Windows and Linux OSs, participating in all aspects of the agile development process, and presenting complex technical information clearly. They will also contribute to cross-organizational collaboration and adapt to changing business needs.
