Senior Software Engineer - AWS and JAVA

Position Overview

Experian Partner Solutions (EPS) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Java and AWS technologies to join our team working on a new platform. This role involves hands-on coding, high-level design, and strategic thinking. The successful candidate will gain a deep understanding of our existing platform, contribute to its transformation into new technologies for enhanced maintainability in a high-activity environment, and design integrations between multiple systems. Our new platform is being built using various AWS technologies, and demonstrated experience building scalable and performant services is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software applications using Java and AWS technologies.
• Design and implement scalable and performant services on the AWS platform.
• Transform existing platform components into new technologies.
• Design integrations between multiple systems.
• Contribute to the overall architecture and technical direction of the new platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of related experience building efficient, maintainable, and scalable applications.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS technologies, including micro-services, Lambda, S3, Kinesis Data Streams, and Gateways.
• 3+ years of experience building XML/JSON REST APIs.
• 5+ years of experience with NoSQL and relational databases such as DynamoDB and MySQL.
• Experience in configuration management using GIT.
• Experience with issue tracking and estimation.
• Proficiency in Agile development practices.
