Requirements

  • Hands-on Java Software Engineer experience, building the platform and applying best SDLC practices (development, testing, applications, monitoring)
  • Strong understanding of Java and relevant application frameworks (e.g. Spring Boot)
  • Experience of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP) both in utilising services and how cloud infrastructure works
  • Strong understanding of effective testing strategies (microservice testing, chaos engineering, fault-tolerant systems) and a passion for driving improvements in their implementation
  • Growth mindset and a desire to learn, teach, and improve skills

Responsibilities

  • Building out the nascent testing platform offering, focusing on understanding the biggest testing blockers experienced by engineers and devising highly automated solutions
  • Creating a scalable foundation for the testing platform, integrating with partner teams in Platform Engineering
  • Working closely with engineers across the company to help them shift towards high levels of automated, repeatable end-to-end testing
