Requirements

3+ years of Software Engineering or DevOps experience
BS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience
Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as XRay, Snyk, Black Duck, or Sonatype
Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, or Podman) and orchestration platforms (Azure Kubernetes, or ECS)
Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, or Helm)
Experience with development languages like PHP, Java, or PERL
Preferred: Effective in one or more of the following technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, modern UI frameworks
Verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking skills, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Responsibilities

Analyse and remediate vulnerabilities in container images and application dependencies
Apply secure coding practices and address frontend attack vectors such as XSS and CSRF
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and Helm
Contribute to web application development with a focus on performance optimization and accessibility
Collaborate with application teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle
Perform complex research, design, and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line
Provide direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products
Perform software design — typically across multiple systems
Mentor more-junior members of the team
Talk to users/customers and translate their requests into solutions
