Requirements

  • Advanced degree (Master’s/PhD) or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Applied Math, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
  • Deep passion for computer vision, real-time AI, and sensor driven systems, with ability for translating research into practical, high-performance solutions
  • Proven success in designing APIs and frameworks that developers love to use and that stand the test of scale
  • Strong programming expertise in C++ (modern standards), combined with solid Python development skills for prototyping and tooling
  • 8+ years of experience building and shipping complex, high-performance imaging or sensor-processing software
  • Ability to profile, analyze, and optimize performance bottlenecks at both software and hardware levels
  • Strong communicator and collaborative problem-solver, able to work across multiple technical domains and partner with both researchers and product teams
  • Perspective of technical leadership: proactive in seeing opportunities, setting high standards, and mentoring teammates
  • Hands-on expertise with CUDA C/C++ and deep knowledge of parallel programming paradigms

Responsibilities

  • Architect the future of Holoscan SDK by designing intuitive, scalable APIs for real-time sensor, image, and multimodal data processing – balancing developer usability with peak GPU performance
  • Prototype innovative GPU-accelerated algorithms for computer vision, imaging, and sensor fusion – translating research into production-grade software
  • Build and optimize core libraries for accelerated I/O, streaming, encoding/decoding, and large-scale data handling across diverse domains like healthcare, robotics, industrial automation, and astronomy
  • Benchmark performance rigorously, profiling and optimizing against powerful frameworks and research results
  • Collaborate with world-class teams inside and outside NVIDIA – from robotics researchers to medical device makers – ensuring Holoscan seamlessly integrates into varied platforms
  • Influence product strategy by contributing technical insights that shape roadmap decisions, set performance goals, and define standards for real-time AI systems
  • Mentor and elevate the team, guiding peers and junior engineers in API design, GPU programming, and large-scale system development
