Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering
- Hands-on experience and deep understanding of Node.js, TypeScript, React, and API development
- Comfortable navigating complex systems: microservices, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud environments
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating closely with product, design, and business
- Promote engineering best practices: quality, testing (TDD, BDD), documentation, observability (Grafana, Kibana), and system health
- Clear and empathetic communicator, fluent in English (French is a plus)
- Highly organized and able to work independently, including in distributed/remote setups
- Think product-first: empathize with customers and understand the business impact behind technical decisions
- Previous experience leading a fullstack or B2B SaaS product team (preferred)
- Familiarity with RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, and authentication protocols (JWT, OAuth2, etc.) (preferred)
- Experience working on high-availability systems and monitoring production environments at scale (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Close collaboration with team leadership (Engineering Manager, Product Manager, Product Designer) in the B2B Experience pillar to enhance TheFork Manager
- Drive the team’s software development efforts, delivering high-quality features with minimum guidance
- Guide the team to adopt engineering best practices
- Ensure high performance of services in production under the team’s ownership
- Shape architectural proposals
- Write code and implement tests across all layers of infrastructure, prioritizing monitoring and security
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation
- Manage the team's workload for efficient delivery
- Conduct risk management in close coordination with team leadership
