Requirements

Candidates must possess a BS in computer science or a similar discipline and have over 5 years of experience in architecting and deploying large-scale distributed systems. Required experience includes core AWS services, writing complex SQL queries, common DBMS, data warehousing with parquet manipulation, data processing tools like Spark or Kafka, and production-quality Python development. Strong software engineering principles covering design patterns, configuration management, source control, build processes, code reviews, testing, app containerization, and continuous integration are also necessary. Preferred qualifications include an MS/PhD in computer science, machine learning, statistics, or computer vision, experience with specific ML techniques, data visualization tools, deep learning frameworks, A/B testing, and familiarity with autonomous driving sensors and the domain.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will own and develop large-scale mining workflows to identify rare objects, model errors, and long-tail events. They will build high-quality datasets for improving ML products through training and validation, and contribute to data processing pipelines for a billion-scale image search engine.
