Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Experience leading and mentoring other engineers
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills; C# a plus
  • Experience with database design and development
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to self-learn
  • Ability to communicate well within a team environment
  • Ability to work independently on self-directed tasks

Responsibilities

  • Develop full stack software for a wide variety of platforms and technologies
  • Take part in the entire project life cycle, from requirements development to deployment with lots of cross-team collaboration
  • Engage in the research, evaluation, and application of new technologies and methodologies to solve challenging project goals
  • Exercise good judgment: know when to work quickly, and when to build a robust solution
  • Collaborate on product development and bring ideas
  • Work on server-side aspects including processing security events, provisioning equipment, monitoring station signaling, testing-automation, and integrating devices with the Alarm.com connected ecosystem
  • Work on backend services, websites, and database design
  • Collaborate closely with device engineers, business partners, and other engineering teams
  • Other duties as assigned
