Requirements

Candidates should have 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails, including deep expertise in backend architecture and design patterns. Experience with React and TypeScript is required, along with a proven ability to ship and iterate quickly while maintaining high technical quality. A strong understanding of object-oriented programming, relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), and designing scalable, observable, and well-documented systems is essential. Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will design and evolve mission-critical backend systems and frameworks, collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers in a highly async environment to deliver high-quality software. Responsibilities include building scalable, observable, and well-documented systems, mentoring engineers through code reviews and technical guidance, and participating in the planning, design, and implementation of solutions for Core framework products. The role also involves leading the design and architecture of new frameworks, engaging in collaborative feature design, producing well-tested and performant code, researching and implementing prototypes, expressing opinions to drive development processes, and thoroughly reviewing peer code.
