Requirements
Candidates must possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in software engineering and a minimum of 4 years of experience with Java. They should be able to work effectively on a globally-distributed team with a high degree of ownership, and demonstrate experience building robust, fault-tolerant systems with multiple external dependencies. Furthermore, candidates should have experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, and proficiency in Java frameworks and tools, including Spring, Gradle, JUnit, and JVM.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer, Backend, the individual will be responsible for implementing backend systems that support all business features, specifically focusing on services and integrations such as Payment, Billing, Identity, and partner integration. They will design, develop, test, and scale systems to deliver great user and partner experiences, working closely with product, design, and engineering peers to solve user problems around rent payment. The role involves rolling out changes to customers in an agile manner with frequent iterations and leading scoping, design, and implementation for APIs, ultimately driving production rollouts to completion with minimal oversight.
