Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area with 3 years of software engineering experience, or alternatively, 5 years of software engineering experience. Strong proficiency in Java (8+) and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC) is required, along with experience in Apache Kafka for streaming and event-driven systems. Hands-on experience with Cassandra or other NoSQL databases, a solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs, and experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub workflows are also necessary. Familiarity with Kubernetes for container orchestration is expected.
The Senior Software Engineer will design and implement backend services and APIs using Java, Spring, and Kafka, and build and maintain distributed, event-driven systems supporting millions of daily transactions. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture, develop and optimize data pipelines and streaming services, and ensure code quality through rigorous testing, CI/CD processes, and code reviews. The role also involves participating in performance tuning and troubleshooting of distributed systems and working with Kubernetes and GitHub for deployment automation and source control management.
