We are a global leader in the supply chain execution market, dedicated to accelerating the digital transformation of supply chains for industrial and finished goods shippers and carriers. Our solutions address challenges in yard management, shipment visibility, and asset management across rail, truck, and multi-mode transportation.

We are seeking an innovative and energetic Software Engineer to join our team, focusing on the development of our yard management and finished vehicles logistics solutions. Our engineering team practices agile software development. Our technology stack includes Javascript, React.js, jQuery, Ruby on Rails, Linux, PostgreSQL, GPS and location awareness, Digital Mapping, Apple Mac development workstations, cloud computing, Redis/Resque, JSON, and various queueing systems for application integration with customer systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to formulate detailed designs and implement solutions based on requirements.
• Estimate the size of work items.
• Actively participate in the agile product development process and adhere to test-driven development methods.
• Triage, debug, and diagnose production and development integration issues.
• Support product deployment, configuration, and testing.
• Communicate proactively and listen carefully.
• Work independently.
• Commit to negotiated schedules.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Ruby on Rails implementation experience.
• 3+ years of application or system design experience.
• Hands-on experience with Ruby, HTML & CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and jQuery.
• Object-Oriented (OO) design experience and familiarity with web application frameworks such as Rails or Django.
• Significant experience with SQL language.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment by learning quickly, applying new knowledge effectively, and maintaining a disciplined approach to software development.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, including with remote development teams (international).
• Passion for quality and continuous improvement.
• English language proficiency is required for this role.
