Requirements

Candidates should possess at least 3 years of hands-on experience writing in Golang and 5+ years of experience as an engineer. They should be passionate about building new products and working with systems at scale, with extensive experience utilizing AWS services such as DynamoDB, SQS, AWS Lambda, EC2, and Cloudformation. Experience with BMS, Niagara, and BACnet is considered a significant advantage, and familiarity with Python is also beneficial.

Responsibilities

The Senior Backend Engineer will design, test, implement, ship, and operate with excellence the core software deployed in buildings and the serverless cloud infrastructure that processes and analyzes billions of data points. They will contribute to impactful new product features, significantly improve operational posture, be a core contributor to the Golang app and AWS infrastructure, contribute to Operational Excellence by improving monitoring & alerting, and write code that efficiently and intelligently processes billions of data points per year, alongside contributing to the Python application that powers climate control algorithms and processes live data from sensor networks in buildings.
