Senior Software Engineer

Position Overview

Requirements

• Experience building software systems with high-quality, well-documented production code.
• Demonstrated track record of high agency, willingness to learn new technologies, and a team-first attitude.
• Ownership mindset – taking responsibility for projects and outcomes.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain an optimized, distributed proving cluster for SP1, Succinct’s SOTA zkVM.
• Work on general backend systems, including indexing, relaying, monitoring, and more, for the decentralized prover network.
• Contribute to all parts of the Succinct stack, ranging from infrastructure, backend, and quickly learning new technologies and frameworks.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with optimized systems programming.
• Strong grasp of Rust.

Location

• Primarily located in San Francisco, with a preference for in-person work. Remote positions considered for exceptional candidates, with potential for in-person onboarding during the initial months.
