AllSci’s platform will lead to significantly increased volume, value, and machine readability of scientific information and will address the issues of incentives, trust, and reproducibility that plague science today. AllSci has achieved notable technological advancements and assembled a team of AI experts and industry veterans. The product is newly introduced to the market and was launched recently.

This role seeks a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with deep technical expertise and a broad knowledge of software architectures to help develop a cutting-edge, data-driven, scientific knowledge platform. This role demands a broad technical skill set, ranging from low-level system design to high-level architectural strategies, ensuring scalable, reliable, and innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will contribute to architectural decisions, independently design complex systems, and implement robust front-end and back-end solutions, all while producing high-quality, maintainable code. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams—including research scientists, designers, and product managers—to craft a platform that pushes the boundaries of scientific publishing and data management.

Requirements

• Experience: At least 4 years of Professional Web Application Development Experience.
• Programming Languages: Proficient in Typescript and by extension JavaScript.
• Design Patterns: Knowledge of design patterns and programming paradigms such as functional and object-oriented programming.
• Reasoning & Organization: Ability to reason and organize code.

Responsibilities

• Architectural Leadership: Provide technical leadership with a focus on scalable, maintainable, and high-performance architecture design.
• System Design & Development: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for both front- and back-ends.
• Architectural Patterns: Architect complex distributed systems, incorporating microservices, event sourcing, and vertical slice architecture where appropriate.
• Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance to team members.
• Requirement Translation: Translate requirements, storyboards, and use cases into functional applications.
• Technology Research: Research new technologies and algorithms. Adapt and implement these technologies into practices.
• Issue Resolution: Identify issues and potential risks and implement solutions.
• Quality Assurance: Implement unit testing and QA best practices.
• Code Maintenance: Maintain code quality and organization.
• Data Integration: Implement analytics algorithms and integrate large datasets.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with the UI/UX and Product Teams to ensure the technical feasibility of proposed functionality and designs.
• Documentation: Develop system technical architecture documentation and design diagrams.
• Deployment: Manage the deployment of releases into production.
