Candidates should possess at least 5 years of experience with PHP, demonstrating expertise in its development and maintenance, along with a solid foundation in Linux and/or BSD environments. Experience with building and integrating IAM or SCIM solutions is required, as is familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and developing custom APIs. Exposure to config management tools like Puppet or Ansible is a plus, and comfort working with Windows environments is beneficial.
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining enterprise-scale IAM and SCIM solutions for Vultr’s PHP-based web portal, collaborating with engineering teams to research and develop new features, address technical debt, and continuously improve performance. They will also lead efforts to enhance observability, increase automation, and optimize CI/CD pipelines, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to plan and deploy new features with a focus on security and reliability.
