Requirements

Candidates should possess 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, with demonstrated experience in developing test automation frameworks, proficiency in Java or GoLang and testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, and Mockito, experience with TypeScript/JavaScript preferred, and experience writing contract tests with tools like Pact, Postman, and Cypress. Familiarity with REST API testing in a microservice environment, AWS, SaaS applications, SQL and NoSQL data stores, observability tools like Kibana and Datadog, synthetic monitoring, Jenkins, Cloudbees, CI/CD workflows, Agile/Scrum methodologies, Jira, and Confluence is also required. Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will design automation testing best practices and quality standards & processes, conduct manual testing of backend applications, assist engineers in creating automation tests, maintain healthy automation testing pipelines, and deliver recommendations on how to evolve testing best practices within the organization, solving today’s problems with the future direction of product testing in mind. The role involves driving multiple projects to completion from a QA perspective and serving as a mentor to the team.
