Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Structural Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or other related fields with 0-3 years postdoctoral experience or a minimum of 8-10 years of experience performing progressively advanced duties beyond a B.Sc. degree
  • Hands-on experience with cell culture
  • Deep understanding and hands-on experience characterizing biomolecules using SPR techniques
  • Strong critical, scientific, and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage projects to meet timelines
  • Expertise in characterization of interactions with cell surface targets/membrane proteins (preferred)
  • Solid understanding of the fundamentals of antibody structure and function (desired)

Responsibilities

  • Design and perform real-time interaction cytometry assays to determine binding to cell surface targets
  • Conduct SPR binding analysis to determine binding and activity properties
  • Design and implement new techniques and strategies to study biophysical characteristics of assets and to optimize the Biophysics characterization workflow
  • Independently interpret and communicate the results to program teams and management
  • Function as a project team representative for the Biophysics group
