Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required pursuant to government contract
  • PhD in Aerospace, Automotive, or Mechanical Engineering specialized in Aerodynamics
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant industry experience or a Ph.D. degree with demonstrated research experience in a related discipline
  • Deep understanding of vehicle aerodynamics, including drag reduction, downforce, and flow control
  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, turbulence modeling, and numerical methods
  • Experience in design optimization workflows using CFD and ML
  • Proficiency in CFD tools such as PowerFLOW and STAR-CCM+
  • Familiarity with HPC environments and cloud computing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute CFD simulations to analyze and optimize vehicle aerodynamic performance
  • Develop passive and active aerodynamic technologies to improve aero performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in design, engineering, and data science to deliver aerodynamic solutions
  • Conduct post-processing and visualization of simulation data to extract actionable insights
  • Support the development of digital twins and simulation-guided design frameworks
  • Integrate AI/ML techniques to accelerate simulation workflows and enable predictive modeling
  • Build and train surrogate models and physics-informed neural networks for flow prediction and design optimization
  • Present technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders across engineering and product teams
