Requirements

Scientific expertise for development and implementation of clinical studies
Ability to write and manage clinical trial protocols, protocol amendments, clinical study reports, clinical trial registrations, results postings, clinical study project timelines, and scientific publications
Experience interacting with study support groups, cross-functional teams, regulatory agencies, study PIs, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and investigational sites
Knowledge of scientific and medical principles for strategic communication
Proficiency in evaluating scientific literature, analyzing scientific data, and staying abreast of current clinical practice
Skills in project management tools for creating, managing, or participating in clinical study timelines and budgets, including vendor contracts and expenditure management

Responsibilities

Facilitate development of clinical strategy and trial design by interacting with study PIs, KOLs, and cross-functionally with Global Clinical Operations, Research & Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Biostatistics
Write study protocols, protocol amendments, informed consents, study reports, scientific presentations, and papers for publication
Present scientific data at industry gatherings, investigational meetings, and regulatory agency meetings
Collaborate with R&D, Clinical R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Library Services, Product Performance Group (PPG), Quality Engineering, Clinical Affairs or Clinical Science, Risk Management, Clinical Project Management, external CROs or Medical Writers, Training, Marketing and Sales, Senior Management, and investigational sites
Conduct team meetings, draft and send routine correspondence (e.g., newsletters), and provide regular updates to senior staff
Create, manage, or participate in clinical study timelines and budgets, select providers or external medical writers, manage vendor contracts, and ensure expenditures are within budgetary guidelines
Work cross-functionally with clinical field teams and data management to identify issues throughout the study
