Candidates must possess an advanced degree, such as a Master's or PhD, in a relevant field like computer science or a related discipline, and have at least five years of hands-on experience in MLOps and Research Engineering. Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python, including libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn is required, alongside experience in designing and implementing end-to-end machine learning pipelines. Prior commercial experience in designing and implementing systematic trading systems is also necessary. Familiarity with Big Data technologies like Hadoop and Spark, as well as data visualization and reporting tools, is expected, along with understanding of modern software development practices and tools, cloud platforms, and containerization technologies.
As a Senior Research Engineer, you will lead the development and global rollout of the research framework for defining and training models, integrating it with the platform for deploying and running those models in production. You will develop tools and frameworks for Quantitative Researchers and Traders to test hypotheses and tune trading strategies, working with the business to refine requirements and iterate on design and implementation. Furthermore, you will be responsible for expanding the scope of the framework and platform to become the global standard for data-driven systematic trading.
