The Senior Regional Sales Director is responsible for representing Virtus Investment Partners’ full complement of investment offerings, including mutual funds, SMAs, and ETFs, to investment professionals and intermediaries such as Independents, RIAs, and Wirehouses. This role involves engaging advisors through relationship-building activities, providing technical product information, demonstrating strong knowledge of the competitive landscape, financial markets, and industry topics. The Senior Regional Sales Director also serves as a consultant on practice management and portfolio construction.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Virtus as a subject matter expert with in-depth knowledge of mutual funds, ETFs, and separately managed accounts, including underlying investment strategies, product positioning rationale, performance drivers, and relevant market background.
  • Develop new relationships and maintain/evolve existing relationships with advisors.
  • Lead sales initiatives with intermediaries within a defined territory.
  • Identify client needs and coordinate efforts to serve assigned intermediaries.
  • Conduct sales and product training meetings for assigned territories.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Ten or more years of experience with strong sales skills, product knowledge, and established relationships within the assigned territory and channel.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Motivated and energetic with strong project management and selling skills.
  • Ability to drive objectives relatively autonomously.
  • Required licenses: Series 7 and Series 63 or 66.
  • Ability to travel extensively in the field (approximately 90% of the time).
