Requirements

Candidates should possess an undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Expertise in Python programming, including implementing production-grade Python code, and proficiency in object-oriented programming paradigms, data structures, and numerical algorithms are required. Experience with data storage solutions such as RDBMS, S3, columnar databases, and NOSQL databases, as well as distributed computing technologies like Spark and Dask, is essential. A foundational understanding of probability and statistics, including linear regression and time-series analysis, along with curiosity and a willingness to learn new technologies, is also needed.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantitative Developer, you will write and maintain Python libraries to support the investment research production processes, design and create software to enhance the data science technology stack, and design and implement financial data APIs and numerical APIs. You will apply cloud and distributed computing technologies, implement performance improvements in data analysis and numerical programming code, run POCs to evaluate new technologies, work with software engineers on data feeds, and propose and lead implementations of major components in the data science platform. Additionally, you will mentor junior team members, and contribute to other projects based on experience and interest.
