Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 3-5 years of post-baccalaureate work experience in an accounting function; experience in Real Estate or Property Management is a plus
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with PMS systems such as Entrata is a plus
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Attentive to detail
  • Manages multiple projects and meets goals and deadlines timely and consistently
  • Versatile, flexible, and thrives in an environment where there are constantly changing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Maintains general ledgers in compliance with GAAP and update monthly
  • Prepares applicable monthly journal entries
  • Analyzes and prepares monthly financials for assigned properties
  • Executes monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
  • Researches and reports financial and operational variances
  • Reviews revenue and contracts, monthly
  • Reviews month end financials prepared by the Property Accounting Team. Provide insight into variances to the Directors and Managers
  • Provides support to the Operations team as needed, regarding financial performance of assigned properties
  • Responsible for monthly accruals, TRS entries, ground leases and completeness of Cap Ex review and proper tags
  • Responds to auditor inquiries as requested
