Requirements

  • BA, BSc or equivalent experience in a life science or related field (e.g., biology, biochemistry, genetics)
  • 5+ years of post-educational experience in product/portfolio management, R&D or related area
  • Working knowledge of relevant scientific techniques and business/commercial processes
  • Strong business acumen, including knowledge of life science market
  • Understanding of life science customer types

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of a research-focused level strategy at short-, mid- and long-term horizons in line with overall portfolio strategy and translate it into tactical actions for direct execution and in conjunction with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth
  • Develop and refine expertise in the assigned research area and corresponding markets, customer and competitive landscapes, and clearly articulate it to inform discussions and decisions related to strategy, new product development, go-to-market, manufacturing/supply chain, quality and other key activities
  • Ensure customer-focused initiatives align with overall portfolio goals, contributing to both short-term and long-term growth objectives to deliver solutions to customers in assigned research markets
  • Implement and support go-to-market activities across all channels and activities (e.g., digital such as SEO and image data, field such as training, custom product assessment/pricing, promotion development)
  • Manage product life cycle, including collection, management and optimization of product data, execution of pricing strategy, key performance indicator selection and monitoring, product performance management and portfolio curation through robust analysis that drives insights and can be clearly communicated to senior leadership
  • Work closely with Technical Product Manager to build and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and stakeholders to gather insights and strengthen product positioning
  • Create and share best practices to elevate team capabilities, cross-functional collaboration, and drive best-in-class product practices
