This is a hybrid position that does not require full-time on-site presence, but expects employees to be on-site an average of three days each week at the General Motors Technical Center in Warren, MI, with up to 50% travel to manufacturing sites.
A Bachelor’s Degree is required.
Responsibilities include leading new program implementation, overseeing design and launch of manufacturing equipment, managing project deliverables, providing technical direction and mentorship, participating in plant-floor debug, and designing/troubleshooting electrical control systems.
You'll collaborate with equipment suppliers, process teams, IT, plant safety, skilled trades, launch teams, cross-functional teams, internal customers, plant teams, and suppliers, while providing mentorship to less experienced engineers.
Strong candidates are recognized technical experts in process controls with experience leading automation programs, managing projects with suppliers, troubleshooting electrical systems, and working collaboratively across teams, ideally with a Bachelor’s Degree.
