Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience
  • Intermediate level experience in designing, analyzing, planning, and modifying network components and architecture for wireless and wireline infrastructure
  • Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, or Engineering, or equivalent related network experience (preferred)
  • Office presence minimum of 5 days per week (no relocation or sponsorship offered)
  • Willingness to contribute to AT&T compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable

Responsibilities

  • Develops and evaluates network performance criteria and measurement methods
  • Conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies
  • Studies and forecasts traffic drivers to determine short- and/or long-term capacity needs for wireless and wireline infrastructure
  • Recommends network architecture planning and network evolution strategy in support of corporate initiatives, customer demand, technology changes, economic, and service reliability criteria
  • Evaluates new and emerging technologies for addition and/or application of software/hardware to existing network systems
  • Conducts economic and population growth studies to determine impact on network capacity and development plan projections
  • Develops simulation models and systems/information technologies for capturing system/network process data
  • Creates deliverables such as management reports, business cases, infrastructure deployment guidelines, 3 Year Plans, Plans of Record, Project Approval Letters, and Serving Plans
  • Works with key internal stakeholders and vendors as a point of contact for future business ventures and emerging services
  • Provides mid-to-long planning for specific technologies, including analysis, solution recommendations, and implementation strategies to complex business issues consistent with business goals and economic viability
