About The Job

As a Senior Mobile Build and Release Engineer on the Life360 Engineering team, you will help keep the Mobile CI/CD pipeline running at top speed. We need smart and passionate engineers who are obsessed with squeezing every bit of performance out of a build system and ensuring we safely deliver our apps to market. You will work with app developers and test engineers to provide consistent, high-confidence delivery through our CI/CD pipelines.

Salary Range:

  • US Candidates: $123,000 - $180,500 USD
  • Canadian Candidates: 145,000 - 169,500 CAD
    • Note: Job title in Canada will be "Developer" in lieu of "Engineer."

Base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and operate our mobile app CI/CD pipelines.
  • Operate our build infrastructure, including working with vendor partners.
  • Create the next-generation developer tooling and infrastructure for Life360’s mobile apps, focusing on productivity, testing, and release.
  • Track and monitor the usage/consumption of Infrastructure services; ensure performance, SLA, and cost control adherence.
  • Develop telemetry and alerting for opportunities to improve build infrastructure and tooling, and execute on them.
  • Monitor and fix build pipelines, identify bottlenecks, and make improvements.
  • Collaborate with leadership and key partners regularly.
  • Keep the build pipelines updated as newer versions of Xcode are released.
  • Making developers happy and productive is at the core of your mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on technical experience.
  • Proficient in one system language like Swift and scripting languages like Ruby, Python, Go.
  • Experience with dependency management systems like SPM and Cocoapods.
  • Experience with containerizing build workloads (We use Orka and MacStadium).
  • Experience configuring and using artifact repositories.
