- Expertise in evaluating disability insurance applications from medical, technical, and occupational risk perspectives
- Ability to analyze medical reports, case files, and additional documentation to assess risk levels
- Knowledge of underwriting policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements in the Dutch disability insurance market
- Strong collaboration skills with medical advisors, support agents, external professionals, operations, product, and claims teams

Responsibilities
- Evaluate individual disability insurance applications based on medical, technical, and occupational risk factors
- Analyze medical reports, case files, and additional documentation to assess risk levels
- Ensure adherence to underwriting policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
- Work closely with medical advisors, medical support agents, external medical professionals, operations and product teams, and external partners to streamline processes
- Provide medical risk insights to cross-functional teams to improve product offerings
- Collaborate with claims teams on cases requiring medical expertise
- Assist in developing and implementing efficient medical underwriting processes and procedures
- Contribute to automation and digital innovation in underwriting workflows
- Communicate underwriting decisions effectively and empathetically to customers and stakeholders
- Support initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and turnaround times
- Stay informed about relevant legal and medical guidelines in the Dutch disability insurance market
