  • Ability to actively engage with Thought Leaders (TLs) and access stakeholders through various channels (1:1, group presentations, remote, etc.)
  • Knowledge of ethical, compliant, and legal guidelines, with adherence to BMS policies and external regulations
  • Leadership skills to manage and develop Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) as direct reports
  • Capability to design, develop, and deliver medical plans in collaboration with cross-functional partners
  • Participation in price and reimbursement discussions/negotiations with government bodies
  • Blend of field-based and office-based work, with time spent with external customers

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with top thought leaders (TLs) and access stakeholders
  • Effectively present accurate medical information to TLs in compliance with procedures, ethical, and legal guidelines
  • Profile the medical landscape, update knowledge on products, trends, needs, trials, and scientific activities; address customer informational needs
  • Collect and provide meaningful medical insights to medical and commercial organizations to support strategy development
  • Role model peer-to-peer relationships and close contacts with TLs
  • Provide strategic input into brand plans; develop and execute local medical plans and TL interaction plans
  • Deliver scientifically meaningful medical program proposals and ensure flawless execution of medical activities
  • Identify potential speakers for BMS educational programs and provide necessary product/disease state training
  • Lead and develop MSLs as direct reports
  • Support brand strategies by communicating medical insights on products, disease areas, patients’ needs, and treatment trends
  • Participate in price and reimbursement prework, discussions, and negotiations with government bodies in collaboration with local partners
