Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Production/Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Experience applying lean manufacturing principles, including kanban, visual factory methods, poka-yoke, 5S, waste reduction, and kaizen practices
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and working with design regulations and standards
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, software, manufacturing, and quality systems and how they interact in a mechatronic environment
  • Proficiency with CAD tools such as Fusion 360 and Eagle
  • Broad knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing techniques
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and operational teams
  • Proactive, hands-on mindset with a desire to learn, take ownership, and help build exceptional products
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations (up to 20% travel may be required)
  • Responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed bi-weekly

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, engineering, and build-out of mechatronic systems and subsystem components for our products
  • Own solutions from requirements through design, testing, QMS documentation, and production rollout, ensuring technical quality and system reliability
  • Develop project timelines and coordinate across internal teams and external partners to drive on-time, high-quality deliverables
  • Maintain broad capability across stations and provide hands-on support where needed
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cost, and efficiency using lean manufacturing principles
  • Manage part sourcing, supplier communication, and risk mitigation to ensure timely availability and early identification of potential issues
  • Define and maintain training processes for station operations and ensure compliance with procedures related to owned parts and systems
  • Develop and maintain MES applications, workflows, and audits in alignment with internal and regulatory requirements
  • Continue strengthening technical and professional skills through training, cross-functional collaboration, and ongoing development opportunities
