Requirements

7+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, audit, or a related governance role within financial services or fintech
3+ years of team leadership experience in a global organization
Significant hands-on experience with control and issue management tools

Responsibilities

Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing team, across multiple jurisdictions
Define and execute the strategic direction of the Global Issue Management function, including tooling optimization, processes, and cross-functional engagement
Champion a culture of proactive issue identification, transparent escalation, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organization
Design, implement, and maintain a robust and scalable issue management framework aligned to regulatory obligations, risks, controls and policies across all jurisdictions and products
Build an issue management intake and tracking process, most likely in Jira
Serve as the main point of contact for the end-to-end lifecycle of compliance-related issues. This includes intake of identified issues, documentation within dedicated software, collaborative action plan development, and overseeing closure validation
Monitor aging and overdue issues, ensuring timely resolution or escalation, and driving accountability across stakeholder groups
Act as a trusted liaison with Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, Product & Engineering and other key control functions to ensure alignment and effective collaboration on issue resolution
Develop and maintain issue and control dashboards, metrics, and reports that provide clear visibility for senior stakeholders
Provide governance reporting to senior management, the board, and regulators on key compliance issues, emerging trends, and associated remediation progress
