Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Swift. A minimum of 3 years of experience with SwiftUI, CoreData, and Objective-C is required, along with experience in reactive programming languages like RxSwift and Combine, and networking technologies such as REST, Protocol Buffers, and gRPC. Familiarity with developing polished user interfaces, animations, background tasks, and XCUITest is also necessary, as is a passion for quality and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

The Senior iOS Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, maintain, and innovate Places-related features, including Places of Interest, Reverse Geocoding, and Metadata Geocode Tiling. They will design and maintain Places-specific features and experiments for iOS using frameworks like SwiftUI, CoreAnimation, Combine, and CoreData. The role involves contributing to an evolving product roadmap to improve contextual awareness and geolocation, identifying and implementing improvements for scalable and cost-effective Reverse Geocoding, and pioneering new test strategies via automation to enhance testing reliability and efficiency.
