Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on inventory and cost accounting
Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and accounting for complex transactions
Demonstrated experience managing high volumes of inventory data across a large SKU base
Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct variance analysis, identify root causes, and propose solutions
Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly
Proficiency with accounting systems (Sage Intacct, NetSuite, SAP, Coupa preferred) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
Demonstrated success partnering with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and drive process improvements
Strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a team-first approach

Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and recording of journal entries for complex inventory and cost accounting transactions
Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc financial reporting packages for senior leadership
Analyze financial statements, general ledger data, and inventory metrics to identify discrepancies, trends, and risks, and recommend appropriate corrective actions
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual analytical reviews to validate account balances and support financial statement integrity
Proactively identify and implement improvements in end-to-end inventory processes, with a focus on automation and scalability
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and external reporting requirements
Research complex accounting issues, provide clear recommendations in alignment with US GAAP, and document findings
Maintain and update accounting policies, internal controls, and process documentation
Support interim and year-end audits, preparing timely and accurate deliverables
Lead and support ad-hoc projects and requests from management
