Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in Automation, Control, and Instrumentation within manufacturing environments
  • Previous experience as a Project Engineer or Process Engineer
  • Proven background in implementing and maintaining PLCs, SCADA systems, robots, and automated control networks
  • Advanced programming of latest-generation PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens)
  • Programming of Robots, Motion Control Systems, and SCADA software
  • HMI development (PanelView, WinCC, or similar platforms)
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation devices and industrial networks
  • Experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Understanding of ISO 9000, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001 standards
  • Proficient in computer systems and data analysis tools
  • Knowledge of vision systems and troubleshooting of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Project management and coordination abilities
  • Leadership and team development (training and supervision of technical staff)
  • Effective communication across departments and with external suppliers

Responsibilities

  • Implement the installation of the SCADA system
  • Validate, approve integrations between plant equipment and release new process equipment and instrumentation
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance for PLCs, PanelView’s, and Robots
  • Maintain and program SCADA software
  • Program PLCs, panels and robots according to process and operational requirements
  • Audit the operation and maintenance of control and automation equipment in all areas
  • Evaluate control, automation, and facilities suppliers
  • Manage quality system documentation under ISO-9000 standards
  • Generate the necessary metrics for the proper preventive maintenance of automation and control equipment
  • Request materials or services required for preventive maintenance of plant systems
  • Design and coordinate new equipment integration, process improvements and the construction of new equipment and system upgrades
  • Coordinate and train the Process Control and Automation Technicians team
  • Provide service and maintenance to the VSS program and information backup system
  • Keep backups and programs for plant PLCs up to date and ensure compliance with the Quality System according to the IATF 16949 standard
  • Be familiar with the ISO 14001 system based on job responsibilities, know how to act in case of an environmental emergency, and exercise the right to stop any activity that impacts the organization’s environment
  • Participate and support strategies to ensure the success of the HPT (High-Performance Teams) system
  • Respect and ensure compliance with all applicable procedures of the Safety and Health Management System in the work area
  • Report and, if necessary, immediately stop any activities that may pose a risk to the safety of personnel, the facility, or employees’ health
  • Participate when required in the investigation of occupational health and safety incidents
