Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering preferred, or Material/Mechanical Engineering or similar, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in Hardware design development or testing arena or as Process Engineer
  • Preferable 5+ years in the field of quality
  • Experience in manufacturing process or test engineering, board design/assembly or semiconductors knowledge
  • Familiarity with hardware qualification, reliability processes, quality procedures and tools
  • Familiarity with quality methods including Risk assessment, failure analysis and FMEA

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and management for the quality function and sustain the quality philosophy for the organization
  • Establish, maintain and optimize an effective quality management system
  • Create and implement a quality plan to achieve levels of quality established through organizational goals, customer expectations, and related partners
  • Enhance and improve products using problem-solving tools, prevention methods, quality-at-the-source and continual improvement techniques
  • Act as Management Representative for Quality Systems
  • Develop and implement department goals and key measures that align with the mission, vision and values of the organization
  • Design, develop and lead quality assurance processes and methods
  • Handle customer quality issues by entering them into the corrective action database and working with QnR members and other managers to resolve them
  • Ensure adherence to quality control plans and processes
  • Maintain and enhance product design development, verification and validation processes for high quality throughout the product life cycle
  • Partner with Continuous Improvement to drive quality process improvement initiatives to reduce customer complaints and internal scrap, including developing and coordinating department project planning
