Responsibilities

  • Own the long-term product vision and roadmap for model training systems across GM’s autonomous vehicle platform, balancing engineering constraints, business needs, and data fidelity requirements
  • Define strategies for how we address the different stages of ML training workflow
  • Act as the voice of autonomy and infrastructure customers, ensuring that model training strategies support real-world development, evaluation, and fleet operations goals
  • Proactively identify gaps and tradeoffs in system performance, data throughput, developer productivity, and lead initiatives to improve observability, efficiency, and control
  • Drive a metrics-driven approach to decision-making by defining KPIs for training effectiveness, developer productivity, and cost efficiency
  • Incorporate data, research, and market analysis to inform product strategies and roadmaps
  • Establish and prioritize product requirements to solve critical business and customer problems
  • Drive product development with world class software, design, and program management teams to achieve key milestones
  • Define, track, and analyze key product metrics, user feedback, and performance data to measure success and identify improvement areas
  • Communicate product status and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Develop a team of experienced product managers
  • Mentor and develop other product managers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
  • Stay updated on new technology and competitive products to drive continuous improvement, anticipate threats, and identify risks
