Requirements

CPA, ACCA, or equivalent fully qualified accounting designation required
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (Master’s degree preferred)
3-4 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on global accounting, consolidations, and financial reporting
Prior experience working for a US-based company with international operations preferred
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, intercompany accounting, and foreign currency transactions
Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and financial modeling
Experience with Sage Intacct, FloQast, Brex, Tipalti, and Carta is a plus
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with global finance teams and senior leadership

Responsibilities

Prepare and review journal entries including accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, intercompany transactions, leases, debt and equity, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS and local accounting standards
Oversee key GL processes, including accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and payroll posting
Reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring financial integrity and accuracy
Support the reconciliation and timely processing of payroll, identifying and resolving discrepancies
Continuously identify opportunities for automation and process improvements within the global accounting function
Prepare monthly review files and perform variance analysis to identify trends and potential issues
Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate accounting policies
Support external audits to provide supporting documentation and assist with tax return filings by collaborating with regional controllers and the tax director
Assist in preparing audited financial statements, including required disclosures, in accordance with U.S. GAAP and other applicable standards
