Position Overview

Reddit is seeking a skilled Frontend Engineer to join the Brand Ad Formats team. This role is ideal for an engineer with a product-focused mindset who is passionate about building innovative ad experiences for Reddit's Android app. The team's vision is to increase brand outcomes through a regular cadence of innovation, driving market relevance and capturing brand budgets.

Team Description

The Brand Ad Formats team is responsible for innovating and supporting various ad formats designed to increase brand awareness. Current projects include revamping "Takeovers" for guaranteed inventory and developing "Reminder Ads" for user opt-in alerts. The team consists of 10 members with expertise in backend, web, iOS, and Android development, split geographically between ET and PT.

Responsibilities

• Build ad experiences and create patterns for Reddit’s Android app to enhance ad performance and functionality.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to innovate and implement sophisticated solutions for complex challenges.
• Engage in the full development cycle: design, develop, QA, experiment, analyze, and deploy.

Requirements

• Expertise in Frontend engineering with at least 4 years of experience.
• Proficient in both Typescript and Javascript.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Willingness to tackle the challenges of creating data-intensive, highly responsive, and fault-tolerant apps within the constraints of a smartphone environment.
• Openness to explore innovative approaches to software development.
• Skilled at performing insightful code reviews and receiving feedback.

Bonus Points

• Experience working on ad tech.
• Experience working on premier consumer-facing sites with high production value at scale.
