Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience (experience in a software business is preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and financial software analysis tools (NetSuite or other ERP experience is a plus)
  • Solid understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and financial statement analysis
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to come to the NYC office three-four days per week

Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, financial modeling, and forecasting to support budgeting and planning activities
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process, providing input and helping develop financial forecasts
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and presentations for management and stakeholders as required
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information, ensure data integrity, and provide financial insights for business initiatives
  • Assist in the development of financial models, business cases, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track financial metrics, and provide recommendations for optimizing financial performance
  • Support strategic planning activities including goal setting, regional and product analysis
  • Support ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as assigned by management
